SUMMARY OF LESSON 3
Our third lesson will have you look a bit deeper into features in the face, emotions in hand posing, and feet. I will give you guidelines and tricks to construct and then put purpose and emotions easily into your figures in your work.
We will use pencil and charcoal. With everything you’ve learned so far, you will also be able to draw a figure without model and create a drawing in charcoal.

Construct and draw eyes, nose and mouth in different positions

Shade with charcoal and pastel

Create figure drawings without a model
LESSON 3 MATERIALS

Any drawing/charcoal paper, white and colored
(I’m using Strathmore 500 Series, white, and Strathmore 400 Series, Pastel paper, multiple colors) -
Vine Charcoal
-
A piece of fat charcoal
-
A Kneadable and a regular white eraser
-
An art chamois or soft cotton rag
-
sharpener
-
White soft pastel stick
(Optional: Nitram, Liquid charcoal)
